Where to Stay
Warren County
During the winter of 2018/2019, father and daughter Dave Matthews and Alex Kochon decided to get started on a project they had been dreaming up for some time: to create a comprehensive, mountain-bike trail guide for Warren County, New York, in magazine form. They had been inspired by GRIP, a mountain-bike guide for Rutland County, published by The Mountain Times in Killington, Vermont.
In May 2019, they published and distributed 10,000 free copies of the inaugural Ride On! Warren County MTB Trail Guide and teamed up with The Hub and Wilderness Property Management to host the first Ride On! Weekend. The two-day recreational gathering took place at four featured bike parks to support local trail-building efforts and kick off the MTB season.

In June 2021, the second Ride On! Weekend was held with the help of the Upper Hudson Trails Alliance. Dave and Alex decided to expand the trail guide to include Saratoga County and published the 2022/2023 Ride On! edition in May 2022. Thanks to the help of Adirondack Sports & Fitness, another 10,000 copies Ride On! were distributed throughout the region in 2022 and 2023.

Huge shoutouts to our talented designer, Cayla Ferari (Point-to-Point Creative), Drew Cappabianca (The Hub), Steve Ovitt (Wilderness Property Management), Wendy Matthews, and all of our supportive advertisers. Ride On! is a reality because of you!
With trail maps detailing the best that the Southern Adirondacks have to offer, Ride On! is for tourists and locals alike — really anyone looking for new trails to explore on their bikes.
